Hi everyone. I am new here and fairly new to the hobby. I apologize in advance for not knowing the proper terminology. I have a $10 bill that my mother got when she worked at a bank about 25 years ago. It is only printed on the back except for the serial number and the crest on the front. I was wondering if anyone had any information on bills like these. Is it was worth anything or just something different to hold on to. thanks in advance for any help.

to the forums! As long as the bill is genuine, it has value upwards of several hundreds of dollars, depending on the condition (folds, color, crispness). The most valuable bills are the ones that aren't folded. This is technically called a "missing second print" note, as the first print is the reverse, second is the front, and third are the numbers and the 'seal' (crest). Is it possible to post pictures of it? It is definitely worth keeping!

Thanks you coinsearcher83. The bill has no folds or creases and has been in plastic since it was new. I will post pictures of it as soon as I can figure out how to post them.

Okay.. Do you know how to upload to Photobucket? You could upload the pics there, and link them to your post..

Hmm.. This bill looks to be in pretty good shape.. No folds?
If it's genuine, its known as an "underinked error" (or something like that).. I'm not really sure on value, but I know it has some :)

this bill has no folds, creases or marks at all. It looks perfect to my untrained eye. I think its genuine. How would I find out if it is or not?

Quote: How would I find out if it is or not? Post some high resolution photos or scans right here of the $10 bill and you will know ... the text words describing this bill do no good for you ... and do not enable the willing experts to offer their views. Your scans of the $1 bill are fine ... where is the $10 that started this post? No photos ... never happened. David

I will try and post scans of it. Hopefully they will be better quality than the pictures. Thank you.

Sorry nickelsearcher I thought you ment the scans of the $1 bill were bad quality. I will hopefully be able to post the scans of the $10 bill tommorow. It is not where I am right now.
