The talk today has been about Fed Chairman Bernanke's Wednesday afternoon press conference. Will his press conference play a role in how PM's perform today? What are the speculators thinking in regards to his Presser?
I'm looking for a buying opportunity and am wondering if this might be it...

With no announcement of an early end to QE2 and his structural inability to address the deficit and other economic issues, I think the prices rise, unless they rise in advance of the press conference and "fall on the news." I almost think you have to name a time of the day for this.

IMO,
IF he decides to END QE2, PM prices, will go down, and more importantly the US dollar will start an upswing and move the economy and the stock market in a bullish direction... but if he says we need QE3, then probably the opposite, the USD declines, and PM's go up

I'm kinda hoping he announces the end of QE2. Strengthening the dollar and dropping silver. IMO this could create the potential to gather more bullion for the next month. I also believe that this tactic would leave enough time for reconsideration and allow the Fed to restart QE3 before QE2 actually expires in June. Just my Very humble opinion...

If he announces the end to QE2(which I don't think will happen)we would see a rise in the dollar but a negative effect on stocks because most of the profits in quarter 1 were due to foreign market growth which was due to the weaker dollar. I don't think Benny or anyone in the know thinks this economy can keep going with a strong dollar, period!

Wow difficult to call. Even the WSJ, Barron's, and the "Talking Heads" were all over each side of the issue. I do believe Amida17 may have something there. Pretty sneaky way of starting QE3. The only thing I would bet on today is that there's an important wedding this Friday. I hear the British Odds Makers are giving 100/1 odds against it happening. That might also be for the early termination of QE2. Oh, Jack B, QE is Quantitative Easing. Is a fiscal policy to inject liquidity into the market by purchasing debt. Rather than go into a long dissertation, just google QE2 and read all the pros and cons.

When they ask him a question, his endless circles of gibberish responses puts me in a catatonic state, in which case I feel sleepy and don't absorb anything he says. Could having this ability be the key to acquiring this guys job, if one should so want that mess to deal with ?

Let the PM's rising march continue.
It is still my opinion that this is a bubble. The bubble is propped up by near zero Fed rate. Since they will continue this through the summer, watch the bubble to increase through the same.
But it WILL pop. There are only two options, PM's pop dramatically, or US Dollar crashes completely. One or the other WILL happen. The Dollar is a lot harder to allow to crash, so PM prices will fall dramatically eventually.
