Just ordered my set but I thought there was a Hot Springs set coming out first. But I really could not pass these up for under $300 a piece, could be worth that in melt alone by the time they arrive. I hope to God Fidelitrade sends me a set of the first five, still no word from them but the lady I called said it was processing. Anyway here is the link. http://www.apmex.com/Product/61945/...gn=042711btn

I would love to have a Glacier, as I grew up less than 100 miles from there.

wait I don't get it, we just had the bullion 5 piece set out, and then tomorrow the mint is releasing the Hot Springs collectors version. What is the Gettysburg and Glacier? Part of the bullion set or collectors version?

It IS confusing when the coins are actually released in the year they were issued... 2010 bullion sold in 2011 2010 P collector's version sold in 2011 (only one so far) 2011 bullion being sold in 2011...what is with that?

As far as I know the mint had a production problem and could not make the large coin without a new press that did not arrive until 2011. Too bad as I could have been able to afford the first set if they were available in 2010.

thanks guys for the clarification! Getting a whole set of ATBs is going to be costly!

Got 1 just now. Price was a bit high but with the mintage of 27k who knows what these will do. Think having the P MM on a hockey puck will drive prices up?

Any way to know if you are the waiting list or if you will be receiving the order from the mint?

It gets confusing because no one is being clear what they are talking about and they have been discussing different issues. The OP was talking about the 2011 bullion issues. What everyone has been talking about when they say they just ordered have been the 2010 P collector issue. The 2010 Bullion set had a mintage of 33,000. The 2010 P collector pieces have a max mintage of 27,000. The 2011 bullion has no limit on its mintage, and I don't know what the max mintage if any will be on the 2011 collector pieces. Quote: Wonder what they used to strike the huge high relief medals they've been making for the last century or so? Maybe the high tonnage medal press couldn't be retrofitted to handle the segmented collar needed for the hockey pucks. May also have just been too slow for the number of pieces to be coined. Or it may just have been they needed a second press to handle the production demand and they are using the medal press.
