I then note the date location - rather "near." Now, off to VAMworld to look for varieties known for tilted mint marks. VAM-2? Nope, date location wrong. VAM-4? Probably not - mint mark not tilted enough. VAM-6? Very promising. Big mint mark tilt, described as the "nearest of the near dates" and a match for yours. VAM-9 and VAM-10 wrong for date location.
