A little help with this guy...I have been trying to place it, but no luck. These are scans, but if you need more detail, plase let me know.I am not trying to sell my pieces, but just want to document them properly, so my kids have an idea. Thanks in advance,
Mike.

Without looking at any resource yet, I'd immediately note the rather dramatically-tilted mint mark. I then note the date location - rather "near."

Now, off to VAMworld to look for varieties known for tilted mint marks.

VAM-2? Nope, date location wrong.

VAM-4? Probably not - mint mark not tilted enough.

VAM-6? Very promising. Big mint mark tilt, described as the "nearest of the near dates" and a match for yours.

VAM-9 and VAM-10 wrong for date location.

You have VAM-6.

Hey! thanks for all the help. Now that you laid it out for me It makes perfect sence. I am just learing all of this, so seeing a break down like that is a big help. Anyway, any thoughts on what you would grade this?

Mike.
