PROBLEM: On any page, lets say the Coin Forum for example, I click on a particular section and sub section such as Coin Community Family Stuff and then Coin Community Family Topics
What happens is I click on a link and it may take quite awhile to load. I see the connecting icon ( like the old hourglass but a circle now ) working and trying to connect.

If I happen to move my mouse away from the link I clicked on,
it can lose the connection and act as if I had never clicked on the link in the first place. If I click and stay hovered over and on the link I want and stay on it, eventually, sometimes a minute later, I might get a slow load of the page I wanted.

I spend most of my internet time here on CCF. So this could be a problem everywhere or other places but it only seems to be here and it is a sporadic issue. Today I had a pretty hard time of it. I have luck sometimes if I close the browser and open a new one. Since CCF is my homepage, I can tell if the problem is going to happen or not fairly quick.

Does anyone else experience this here or elsewhere and is there a fix for this issue? Really, it seems that I only have this problem on CCF and it is frequent enough for me to write.
Thanks! w-dog

I have had this problem before, but I either restart the browser or deal with it. I'm not sure of a fix for this except restarting the browser

Check the timer at the bottom of the page when this happens and let me know what it says.

That is how long it took for the server to spit out the page. Any difference between that and the actual time, is the time it takes to get to you and render in your browser which would reflect network/browser issues, not an issue with CCF.

It took 4.59 seconds to rattle the change on the main page, and I timed 5 seconds to load it right after I clicked.

other than that so far its not taking that long, between 1 and 3 seconds.

but if I were on my laptop, that would be different, it sometimes takes up to 20 seconds to load certain pages on here, but as you said, its only because of my laptop, not CCF
Rest in Peace

Might be time to empty your browser cache, wheezy. Try that and see what happens. Also, you might have connection issues with your DSL/cable/whatever.

Adam, 4-6 seconds for the main page is normal. There's a lot going on... lot of forums with counts that must be collected. The main page actually rarely even gets used though. Most registered members never go there, they go straight to the active topics page.

It took 16.97 seconds to rattle this change.

A little slow posting but not the hover issue this time.
I clean my cookies tracks, and junk files out several times a day.
