I don't know. Based on the fact that he can't even get "legal tender" right I would stay away....

Counterfiets can be sold as long as there is disclosure. The 1974 was made by the government and never intended for circ. They like to pretend it did not exsist. However I seriously doubt if you did come up with one that they would care all that much...

The coin in this ebay auction is sliding through because the seller is calling it a reproduction. It is not typical of most Henning nickels which have a large hole in the leg of the are in PLURIBUS.
My No mintmark 1944 nickel is from the same die pairs as this one I think.
I am not 100% sure if mine is a Henning or not but I found mine in an old nickel stash around 1980 along with a lot of other cool nickels. I see this variety much less often than the hole in the are type which is also the reverse for other dates Henning counterfeited. Yes they are still counterfeits.
This one is mine.

The coin on ebay is a Henning nickel. It is also in better condition than most because it almost has a full rim. I have had it on my watch list all week but will not bid on it because it is already bid higher than I will go. Henning claimed to have made six different reverse dies. Not all had the hole in the "R". Of all of the 1944 Hennings I have half have the hole and half are like this coin. I don't see where one is any more uncommon than the other. My suspicion is that Henning used a host coin with the hole to make several dies and used another host coin without the hole to make the other dies. I think the ebay coin and Wheezy's coin are from the same die. There is a very small dot just above the building to the left of the dome. You can see it on the close up of the ebay coin and I think I see it on Wheezy's coin.
