I have a large cent with a mark on the bottom of her neck. I'm not sure how well you can see it in the photo, I have no clue how to take good pictures of coins. Any ideas on what this mark is? I'm pretty sure that there is no mint mark on the large cents....

Here's her photo. The only thing I can see that might be what she is calling a mark is what I think is an old corrosion artifact where the bust joins the neck.

Thanks for your help and for putting the picture up for me. I am not a coin collector and I know absolutely nothing about coins. I have been looking through a coin collection that I received when my Grandmother passed away years ago. I find a lot of coins interesting. Right now I am debating on whether to keep the coins and maybe become a collector myself or if I should just sell them to someone who would enjoy them more than I would.

Allot of us collectors have been where you are at right now, where we were not a collector and all of a sudden a loved one passed on their collection to us. Some of us start out just by trying to finish off the sets they had started just so you can feel closer to them when they are no longer with us and the bug hits us and we realize how much enjoyment we had gotten out of finishing their sets and start our own. Please do not do anything in haste and really think about what you want to do before you act because allot of the time the monetary value is nowhere near the sentimental value the items are worth to you

Thanks for your advice. I will probably keep the collection. I know that if I sold it I would not get much money at all and it would not be worth it. I would be better off keeping the collection for sentimental value, even if I don't get into collecting coins, my children might enjoy it one day.
