I received my 1998 Britannia Silver Proof Collection in the mail today and it is nothing short of fantastic! They are my first proof coins. In my opinion there are no other bullion coins more beautiful than the Britannia! Paying the higher premium doesn't bother me when the coins look like these. Only 3,044 proof sets were minted as compared to 450,000 ASE 1 oz proofs. I can't wait to get more!

Wow that set is fantastic, nice addition. I like a couple of the Britannia's, and want to get an example of one soon, near the top of my too get list. Just over 3 thousand is a nice low mint total....

I am guessing that is a 2 oz., 1 oz., half oz., and quarter oz.?

Beautiful set! I've been looking to pick up the same one. How much did that set you back?

I have the 1997 set like that, it was the first chariot design and is very costly right now because of the popular design, the queen portrait on the 97 is different as well. I have quite a few of the 2 pound Britannia coins, even a few of the ones that have the portrait covered in 24k gold that they made

I agree these are some of the most beautiful pieces out there. I have only seen the one ounce piece I did not know they had fractional in silver.

Very beautiful set. Having a love for British coins, what are your thoughts on all the wedding coins?

Totally sweet!
Love the Britannia designs from 2005, 2007, 2008, and the 1999/2009 Chariot. The four coin sets generally are under 3,000 sets total and sell for between $400-$600US when found, and IMO, a steal at that price. It's too bad the Silver Eagle doesn't have a rotating design like the Britannias, although the 2010 and 2011 designs aren't comparable to the earlier dates.
