Hi,

are there any dealers in Australia that sell for close to spot?

I have found that a lot of the bigger outfits don't.

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Ozzie

Not to put too fine a point on it, but not selling at spot is prolly how they got to be big.

Yes I could not see how one could stay in bus if they sold real close to spot. Even selling out of your home with less overhead, your time is still worth something IMO, and the shipping and all....

I do see where you are coming from, as I have taken a liking to many products from Australia, and it is not easy to find what seems like a good price for me, esp after high dollar shipping, which must hurt Australia sales. Even with free shipping, we are a want it right now society, and waiting on shipping from Australia is about a month. I have never bought a coin from down under, but I dabble a little in Godaikin robots (die cast by the way, you precious medal lovers), and I made a purchase from there at 250 Us dollars (at the time US/Australia dollar close to even trade) a while back, but the shipping was 75 bucks, and it took a month to arrive....

Always that risk factor of a shady dealer, and bad situation if it is an oversea transaction. Not to dis overseas buying, it must be good for both econs, I just think these are all things taken into consideration when buying something half the world away....

My experience is that shipping both ways between Australia and USA usually takes around 10 days. However, there have been two instances lately where my orders took 6-7 weeks to arrive from the US, and the sellers said it was probably due to US Customs, but I think those were just a couple isolated cases.
