I have a number of Morgan dollars that I have started selling one by one on ebay. I am using the auction format, starting at 99c. They all reached about $40+-. What is the experience of anyone selling X2 or X3 coins... have you found diminishing returns or does the final price usually turn out the same per coin...roughly speaking?

Also, I have been offering free postage... with the cost of envelopes, flips, insurance and posting, it actually cuts into the price by $3.50 to $4. what is the experience of charging basic postage as distinct from free....does it effect the price, or do people generally not factor the mailing in when bidding?

You almost always do better selling individually. You just need to decide what your time is worth if you're going to list individually. I offer free shipping. I'm pretty convinced people factor it into their bids.

I always take shipping into my bid consideration. If I want to pay no more than $30 for something and the shipping is $2 then I bid $28; if shipping is free I bid $30. If the winning/high bid (or BIN price) is under what I feel the coin is worth, but after adding shipping in it takes it over what it is worth I don't usually buy it.

I always check shipping when I look at coins on the bay
if you look at some auctions up right now for silver dimes of something
people will have 2 dollars shipping and 99 cents for the coin with no bids or one bid
it seems you will get the same amount of money for the coin with free shipping or with a shipping price
especially if the coins are going for around silver spot value

I agree free shipping is a big consideration for me.
