As its getting harder and harder to find pennys that I dont already have without buying them last week I decided to start on nickles. On my jog last night these caught my eye sitting on the ground at a bus stop. The 1953 is a NSF FAR unfortunatly and this is the first 2011 coin I have found yet. *edit* sorry about the pics they are with my Iphone.

Not that it will make you rich - but nice finds!

That 53 looks to have some original luster on it.

Calgary, bet you'd change your mind if your digging found a diamond or, say, a 1923 cent. :)

Hey be careful Calgary.....I am one of those "crazies" you speak of. I tend to find more interesting stuff on the ground now that I have a new dog. Always looking to make sure he is not trying to eat something nasty off the ground.

There is nothing 'crazy' about digging holes in a field. A lot of people make great finds and good money that way. I wouldn't give two squirts of mouse pee what other people think while out looking for lost treasures!
