Is there anyway to tell if your plastic coin flip is one of the safe ones (I think Mylar?) or one of the ones with PVC in them? Like by it's feel or design or something? Or are they both indistinguishable? Thanks.

Mylar is the safest material and it is a stiffer plastic when compared to a pvc flip. Some pvc flips will also have the distinct smell of a new cheap shower curtain.

I have seen only a very few Mylar flips around, and none available for sale.

Who sells them?

Same place I was going to mention.
There are many, many other places that sell them too. For example the Whitman Publishing web site since they make those things. However, so far wizard is probably the cheapest place unless you go to a coin show where sometimes, not always, they are cheaper.

I believe that the 2x2 flips of today are made of vinyl. Smell it. PVC is noticeable.
Cardboard flips, though, have mylar.
