I know there have been a few 2012 Red Book post here recently. But I just got my large print edition, to be it is so much better than the regular size. I can read this book without reading glasses. I will try to post some pics .. but I don't think they capture how much different these books are (in size only). The information and pages are the same, just bigger.   |

I bought mine on the BAY ...
Was $27.90 shipped. I think it says $29.xx as the cover price.
Not really sure what the regular (small) book cover price is.
This really is worth the price, for those of us that use reading glasses.
The 3 coin shops I have taken it to all want to order some.

I haven't bought a new Red Book since the 2009 edition. So I'm due for a new one. I think I might give this one a try. |

Actually I collect the Red Books and have every edition. I was greatly dissapointed with this one though. Very, very little changes made from the 2010 and 2011 editions. And in some areas coin prices have dropped. Possibly due to so many people complaining about excessive over prices. If you do have the 2009 version, you would really not be missing much in the way of anything new. If you have any coin shows in your area, you should always check there first for dealers that sell the Red Book. They usually buy from Whitman in bulk quantities so get them excessively cheaper. At one coin show I go to I used to pay only $10 for either the ringed or hard cover versions. For the first time now up to $11 each. He didn't have the large printed one or the Leather bound versions though and I might be temped to get one if he does. |

The best price I found was ebay ...buy it now priced. When I was looking I did not find any big discounts for the large print edition. All the big savings were on the regular size. |
