Hi all. Was wondering what you all thought about this one. I was thinking MS63 due to the marks on the reverse. Some minor marks on the face and at the ear. Looks to be a weak strike.

All the marks do detract from it. I would give it a MS-63 also. I don't know if I would put it as too weak of a strike however. It is not too bad.

Ms-63 Seems like a good call . Its a rather nice strike for the year. I can actually See some ( steps) separation. Which is hard to find in the earlier strikes .. Al thought it is a confusing piece you have there. it shows some steps but weak on the pillars. I am not sure if that is rub or weak strike . The center pillars do show up a little dark and or weak. This one is a condradictory. I retract the MS 63 because of not knowing and Say Ms -60. Over all Its a nice coin

I doubt it's MS at all, but more EF. Even on an MS weak strike, pillars, base of triangle would still be well noticeable. see the base portion of the steps, it's all well rounded at the bottom, proof of wear. Basically it's a circulated coin. But then again it could be AU at best.

Thanks for the input everyone. I see what is being said about the pillars and the steps. I thought that there would be more wear on the coin if the steps where that wore down. Guess I'll take it in to my local dealer and let him look at it in hand. Maybe he can show me a thing or two. Thanks all.

The pillars on the back either have been circulated or have a very odd scratch. There could have been a weak strike, in which case it very well could be AU. I've got BU jeffersons that don't have that much detail on the steps, but are still undeniably MS. But with the rub on the pillars, I'm going to go with AU-53.
