So, West side collectibles, located in central Knoxville up on the other side of town towards campus, as I live about 30 miles west of the store location.....

I go in, first thing I notice is a small amount of sports cards, and endless amount of coins. Small room, with 360 degree cases, filled with Morgans, quarters, dimes, nickles, you name it. In the middle of floor, center case and I noticed immediately two Carson city Morgan's, in nice rectangle clear display case each, both priced at 125 bucks. I first learned about the Morgan Carson city, before joining here and taking an interest in coins. It was on Pawn stars, the old man need glasses, and after he got a new pair, his son Rick gave him a jar and told him to find the Morgan dollar with the CC on it, as they said the Carson city was much more valuable than just any ol Morgan. anyhow, he found it with seconds to spare, via the CC on the coin, lol....

I noticed the store was very unorganized behind the cases, stuff stacked to the ceiling, coins on the floor, just clutter everywhere, and it really kind of fit that mental stereotypical image in ones mind, of the nice old fellow with bifocals and more stuff then he knows what to do with, and it is everywhere, lol. Many coins were in their protective white cardboard with clear windows, a common sight obviously at any major coin dealers stand or shop. Also in the middle, he had a open dig through stand for the public to shift through, that was fool of hundreds of coins. I was pressed on time, and did not have time to make a purchase, but did learn they sold Canadian Maples and ASE's four bucks over spot, and they had some 10 oz silver bars, via 3 bucks over spot, so not that great, but I like the selection....

They also had a couple of quarter and half oz gold Eagles, and tons of great pre 1964 silver, via Ben's and JFK's, I know you guys would be loving that. I plan to go back with some time to spare, as there is much to take in, and shift through.....

Also, many nice proof sets of coins, via many different genres and times....

This was a great find, and I don't mind to drive out of my way up to the other side of town, when there is a store with that much selection. No tellin what I could find there, and I plan to get some silver from there as well as cash allows....

Sounds like a great find to me. Congrats on coming up with this resource. I am sure that you can spend some happy hours digging through this hoard in search of some perfect additions to your own growing collection.

Yes thanks all, as I hope to pick up a piece here and there, and will be happy to post some pictures once I figure out how to downsize my pictures. Isn't there a simple website out there that does just that, I had the address and misplaced it? I will have to work on that later tonight, and see if I can get some of my other pick ups loaded up to view....

Another funny note, he had a sign on the front door that said...."Smile your on camera", and with a place that is that hands on and friendly and allowing collectors to shift through their small scale items, I can almost bet thieves have taken advantage of that in the past, hence that sign. And anyone with any open door business in this world would be foolish to not have some camera's as well as other protection from the crooks....
