Hi to all!

I thought perhaps someone out there can help me idenify the following marks

1945-Walking-Liberty

1945-Walking-Liberty

1945-Walking-Liberty on this 1945 Walking Liberty, it appears to be a stamp mark that looks like an X inside a triangle.

Thanks, Mike

I agree! Not sure what this represents. I did google it, found one site where an x with a triangle on a military item, after the war in 1945. Its odd, because the coin is dated 1945.

Dunno. But in Latin a triangle is Delta. And a stylized X could be Chi. Delta Chi...Fraternity or Sorority? Just a thought.

Whatever they represent it's a shame to ruin a nice Walker like that.
