i wonder if it really is unopened? if it is, how do they know there is a coin in there?

No pictures, unopened box, private bidding = not worth the effort to problem solve, should that arise. Already bid up to $610.00 sight unseen.

how hard is it to steam open a wrapper and look at it? close it...GSA's are not known to all be MS65 more like MS62/63 mabey MS64's..or how about buy the open boxes and certificates online? its a crap shoot...

I have seen quite a few of these unopened GSA Boxes and actually had a friend that inherited coins from a family member that had 7 GSA Morgans that were still sealed in their original box. They all had the date stamped on the box of the coin inside. We did open one of the 1884-CC GSA boxes to make sure (since this was one of them worth the least). Nothing else special about the coins because it still ranged around MS-63 or 64 condition but the unopened ones brought quite a large premium for him for some reason
