I have a 1945 P Jefferson nickel Die break that was in my Grandfathers coin collection. The break is on the reverse, and is fairly large. Does anyone on here know approximately what a 1945 P would be worth with a die break of this size? Thank you in advance.

From the pictures, this looks like a lamination. These are often confused with die breaks and die cracks but are actually flaking and peeling of the metal. These are common on the War Nickels but it's still worth silver value. Nice example.

Flaking and peeling are the key words.

Thank you for the responses. I appreciate the information. There were actually two of these in the collection. I am very new to the world of coins, so I appreciate all the help that I can get. I am slowly catching on.
