1983-D-Over-D?

My digital camera is down, so I had to use my cell phone and 10X glass. So they are not the clearest pics.

Looks like a plating issue, but impossible to tell without a good picture.

Not sure either but does sort of look like an RPM or something that looks like one. Cents in the 80's were basically all messed up it appears.

I will post new pics once I figure out whats goin on with my camera, thanks though.
One quick question about plating. Would that cause a raise in the surface?

Oh yeah!
1983-D-Over-D?
The coins from the 80's were still hand punched and the punch left a fin on the bottom edge of the mint mark. This fin (till it flattened) split the plating making all the attention on the lower right side of the mint mark. After 1990 the mint marks were placed on the dies and thus you don't see this happen anymore. Hope this helps?

Wow. Looks like it took a bullet.....(no pun intended) I will definitely post some better pics, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't look like that, but I'm no pro here. By the way thanks for the photos coop.
