So I was going through my junk silver tonight - I've got a few halves I'd like to get rid of, but I don't want to let anything good out of my hands.

I found these:

I think this is FS-105, a Quadrupled Die Obverse. I can't get it in focus good enough, but it was immediately obvious that something was going on with this guy. There's a triple die obverse for this coin too, but I'm pretty sure this is the quad based on the characteristics of the "U". Unfortunately, I have utterly failed to capture that in the image.

Next one is (presumably) a 1965 DDR. Doubling is obvious on the stars and especially F in HALF and the D in dollar. Again, my camera isn't getting a good image, but you can kinda make out the split points on the stars under OF. It's much more obvious in person.

I need a better system for looking through coins. I can only imagine what I've missed and sent back to the bank. Nice finds.

Great Finds! Do you use a glass when hunting? Were these ones you found while Roll Hunting. Either way very nice.

Thanks guys. I use a 10x loop when hunting, but I only look for known varieties so it's not like I look at every coin. Some of them are obvious naked eye like the quadrupled die (QDO?) above and some of the the 1974D DDO halves.

The '64 came from a roll awhile back, but the '65 is from a junk lot I bought last year.
