Need EV7070 suggestions again.

Research has revealed only minor doubled dies and the dreaded 3.5 legger.

I have stumbled across a wicked clash labeled "Masked Indian". I'm not sure if it is a popular clash label, or just this guys billboard. But, it is really nice as at least a plan B.

Anybody know of any cool varieties out there for the type I?

Scooby,

I've got a 1913 with a sweet Cud on the reverse at the 12 o'clock position. I need to check to see if it's Type I or II. When you become a senior citizen you forget these kind of details.

Well, I do know how to use the search function and checked my post from 2008 and it was a Type II ... sorry.

Sounds awesome! But, I guess this clash might be the front-runner so far.

It is nice though. If I pick it up, I'll show it to you guys.

The only doubled die or other varieties I could come up with were really minor. At least this is visible.

Cool clash, I think. PCGS MS64.

Was a heck of a clash to transfer details into the the detail area of the design. From that you would expect to see some strong clashmarks in front of the indians face, but the die has had some extensive polishing there. Notice the field area in front of the face and below the chin is smooth rather than "textured" like it is supposed to be.

Scoob - I know I'm a month late, but I saw you post something about a 7070EV and couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was. So I just searched for it here and saw your looking for this. You can get a 1913-S T1 "No F" variety/error w/e you call it. I'm not good distinguishing between the terms. They also have a two feather variety on the 1913-D I believe.

The picture you posted is a great, let me repeat - GREAT - example of a masked indian by the way.

So, you've heard of this "masked Indian" before?

In case you're still looking for the answer to EV7070, it is a Dansco 7070 filled will errors and varieties, lovingly called my EV7070.

I want my preference to be varieties, but leaving the door open to errors in case there are no known varieties that exist for a series or are unapproachable from a budget standpoint. Of course, I may take an error just because it's cool! Like a Bugs Bunny, for example.

Anyway, back to the Buffalo. I think I'll keep this one for my type set because I want to avoid "man-made" varieties/errors. I may change my mind at a later date, but for now I want everything to be unintentional true mint errors and varieties.

You could look at the 2 feather variety as a "true mint error" in the sence that die clashes are essencially what caused it. It was mint employee's who buffed off the feather, but its because of the die clashes :)
