Arghhh. Nice scans! The ARghhh is because my more expensive HP can't seem to produce this type of quality.

Can you tell us the model, and where you bought it? Also, the settings you used. Very nice scans!

Coinstar, nice scans and I saw where you're using a Canon CanoScan LiDE110. I have an earlier model LiDE 90.

Have you tried playing with the bells and whistles in the advanced mode? You can adjust levels, color, color balance and saturation, brightness and contrast in the preview mode. It shows you exactly what it will look like as you apply the different options B4 you do the final scan. Then you can always tweak it up in your PS or Gimp or whatever you use if you think it needs it.

Guess this one could have used some sharpening but it's fun to experiment and see the different results

Great scans; do the colors we see here reflect what the coins look like in hand?
