Final price would obviously factor in the very poor condition. 5-10K at a guess.

I suspect it is fake, note how he has covered himself by saying it 'appears genuine' and that he is offering a 10% discount for bank deposit on the purchase price, paypal fees would be lucky to be 1%, however with paypal you can demand a refund, you can't with a bank deposit. If it was geniune you would sell it at auction (even in deplorable condition), the only reason you would sell a 1930 on ebay is if it was a fake.

How do you tell shill bidding?
There are plenty of different user ids in the bidding list, there were one or two small numbers bidding but they have been overbid by larger number persons now.
Well it's creating some interest.
Currently at $2,127.00
I defiantly would not bid on something that has not been verified.

Gotta love the seller is willing to knock off $212.00 for a bank deposit, instead of paying $62.00 to ebay.

I would NOT bid on this item. It NEEDS to be authenticated.

Danger Will Robinson. I would pass on it regardless of its rarity...too many unknowns.

It is frustrating that the ebay auction site allows fake items to be listed when the item is not stated as a copy
Does ebay act on reporting such a listing?
How can I complain to ebay to say I think the item is misleading and get a response?

What are you buying here? Not a coin the seller has represented to be genuine, but one he says "looks genuine." Does E-bay require that sellers first authenticate that the coin they are selling is, in fact, genuine before they can list it? (another way to put it is does E-bay allow people to list items that may or may not be genuine, that's up to the buyer to decide?)

If a question arises later, who has the burden to prove it is fake or not fake, the buyer or seller?

My laptop screen is small and I need glasses but am I mistaken in seeing the obverse is an English die instead of the far more common Indian?

You bet. There's a big warning right next to the submit button. By listing it, you guaranty it genuine. Excuses in the listing mean nothing.

Care to explain?

Laughable. Please explain this, I've got to hear it.
