Thailand Coin Info - Vietnam War Era

drdave Pillar of the Community United States 721 Posts	Posted 05/18/2011 11:52 am I received this coin from my Mom's cousin when he returned from the Vietnam War in the early 70's. I believe it to be from Thailand, but I'm not sure. Could anybody help identify it? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

This is the BE (Buddha's Enlightenment) numbering system and dates from 543BC. So 2505-543 is indeed 1962 (as Tam said) but they were minted for 20 years with that common date.
