Anyone finding less copper pennies in their change after making a purchase with cash in stores? Are more and more people hoarding copper now? Since it hard to find silver coins in rolls and boxes now?

More people are hoarding copper but I doubt it has anything to do with silver. You'd be seeing less and less as time goes on anyway just due to attrition, regardless of whether or not people are hoarding.

I am seeing fewer as well. I think every year it's gonna get lesser and lesser, with dilution from new coins and some hoarding.

I bought a few $25 boxes from the banks a few months ago. Looking for Wheats, Toned and Coppers. Was averaging about 12 coppers per roll everytime. But as I said, that was months ago. Just bought another box yesterday, but have not started sorting it yet. Will post my findings.

I have been sorting for about 3 months now. I have gone through probably around $5000 in pennies. usually averaging about 20-25% coppers. I think it will be much less in the next 3 years

I am still seeing copper in a (weakening) majority of my cent change, and the majority of that copper is from the 1970's.

If your buying six boxes of pennies or buying a ton of rolls then yeah your going to find copper pennies. Right now most people are still focusing on hoarding silver coins.

I noticed a real reduction in pre-82 cents in the last rolls I searched. It normally ran 25-30% and the last 40 rolls it was down to about 17%. Finding fewer and fewer LWCs also.

Sorry, I'm in SE VA.
