Does anyone else have this promotion? My son got s gift from an elder friend, when we opened it, it had five Canadian confederation dollars and a letter from Heinz. The letter says thank you for participating in the silver dollar give back program.
I know the dollars themselves aren't worth that much, but does this set bring up the value?

We should get companies now to have coin rebate programsImagine that.

No idea what it's worth but definitely a coollectible item.
Heinz calls the coins "silver dollars".Did they have the mint produce the Constitution dollars in silver for Heinz in this promotion?
If you could please mellowgirl, check these coins with a magnet.

DBM

That's what I wondered too? I have emailed Heinz tonight, to see what kind of verification they can give me, but I don't have a year. It all fits nicely together, the paper is aged and the logo's good, so it seems very legit. The gentleman who gifted it is in his 70's.

I will let you know how the magnet works, but I think they are just "silver" coloured confederate dollars. If they are silver I will do my first official coin happy dance.

They look to be 1982 dollar coins to commemorate the new Canadian Constitution.

I wouldn't think the Heinz company would give out 'silver' dollars but, one never knows.

Lol, no they're just like all the people who call every white metal "silver". Like your silver car or iPod. Whatever.
