Which of these two items would you purchase assuming they are the same price?

6 Franklin halves in XF40 or better

OR

1 1945 Dos Pesos Gold coin

personally id rather the american coins over forgeign any day (personal opinion).....as far as investing goes I think gold is always a better option when you can afford it.....so if your purely investing go gold....if you want it for the collection go american!

Take the silver, it's more recognizable if you need to sell.

Take the 2 peso gold. They are great little coins and very easy to sell if you ever want to sell it or trade it to me for 6 Franklins

if they have different dates then I would go for the 6 Franklin halves in XF40 or better ..... But it is just my opinion

Thanks everyone.....I am leaning towards the Franklins simply because I haven't really started a Franklin set....and it's a small set to complete. This would be a good start if I decide to go that route.

The premium spread between XF and MS might be really small, so I'd hold off on getting those XF Franklin halves unless they are way under melt. If you are looking to get a gold coin, get this year's 1/10th oz. gold eagle. Easy to resell.
