Do you guys save or toss these? I have been saving them but don't know if I should stop or not. after 29 boxes I have 624 s mint lincolns, not including wheats or bu ones that I found.

Definitely save them. I rarely find them in rolls.

We save them just because we do not find many

I suggest that you put a roll set together of the S-mints and then stop keeping them. I posted a question about the value of circulated S-mint LMC and they have little to no value above face value. John1

I just keep them because they are copper.

I keep them because they are harder to come by.

Might be worth saving if you hang onto them long enough. I saved a few rolls and now just put them in the copper bullion lots I sell.

I have always put aside S mints just because they are scarce in the east. When I go to CA to visit my kids I load up out there. Have no idea if they will ever bring a premium but they are fun to look for.

The "S" mints that I DO NOT SAVE ARE : 1968 S 1969 S 1971 S 1972 S 1973 S 1974 SUnless, they're in very nice BU conditon (which is very rare) These years I've listed are EXTREMELY COMMON. And there is a ZERO PREMIUM for them to my knowledge. Being an avid Cent Roll Searcher.....I run into TONS of these all the time. The word "common" means a lot of things in coin collecting.....and "value" isn't usually one of them ! You should buy the "Lincoln RedBook".....it'll tell ya the same thing basically.....and what's good to keep or look for, and what "isn't". It's wasting time and storage space for me to save these years.....there's no reason for it, other than their "copper content", and I don't hoard Copper......so.

When I was hoarding, I saved them. I hand sorted so it was easy to do. A lot of people think they will gain in numismatic value in the coming years. I don't know.
I had over a thousand of them. I sold them for 2ยข each a little over a year ago. Melt was about 1.5x at the time. If you already saving all your copper, it can't hurt to keep them separate.

Not to be difficult, but if I found (say) a 1974-S small date in BU, I'd certainly save it. Someone's probably willing to pay me a quarter for it at my local club. The mintage is rather low.
