Hi Mods, I've been a member of this board for a while. (since 2009 I believe) I just recently hit my 200th post, and I feel like all of my posts are definitely substantial. I will admit that I do much more reading then posting. Last night I decided to sell some of my silver to raise capital for a home purchase. Because of the 250 post rule, I sold on ebay instead of to my fellow CCers. I wish there was a way we could apply for leniency in the post minimums. I understand the rules are in place to protect our members, but I would have rather seen the coins go to someone here, then to some stranger on ebay. -Eric

The answer is pretty simple, 50 more posts and you could have sold your silver here and been within the forum rules.
We have found that making adjustments for some members and not for others brings a whole new set of problems for the staff, It makes us try to determine who is good and who is bad, we don't wish to be the judges of that particular aspect of our members, we actually prefer that they set about proving their integrity on their own.
the rules are in place as a guide and as always those who wish to participate in the BST forums do so pretty much on their own,and the reputation that they build is also pretty much up to them.
We have gone through many changes in the rules that have been set in order for our members to have as much confidence that those whom they are dealing with are dedicated to honest trading.
The rules apply to everyone equally, no exceptions.

I agree with the current rules. IMHO they are in place to help preserve what we are ... a knowledge sharing forum and not a B/S/T web site.
Pull up a camp stool to the community fireplace and contribute as a valued member adding your thoughts and insights ... before you know it 250 posts will be in the rear-view mirror.
Tell the truth ... I consider the B/S/T forum to be appx 1% of what this great community is about ...

I have been a member since only this year and I have over 200 posts. soon I may be eligible to sell here but if I can generate 200 posts in three months anyone can. I feel my input and postings have been accepted well by this community.

I've been a member for less than a year. Remember that the amount of posts also lets us get to know you. In my case I would hesitate to buy from someone I don't recognize or see infrequently, no matter what the rules say.
