So back when I was younger I would get these things all the time from family members and the like, and I'm curious the value of them, and where I would sell them. Also have a old $.25 bill.

See images below: (sorry for the quality, only got my iPhone. (those are 2004 and 2005 proof sets)).

Your best bet is to look at completed listing on ebay as to prices... after all, coins are worth what someone is willing to pay.

Welcome.

Looks to be a large amount of inconclusive amounts.

Maybe that 400th anniversary proof set will be worth more in... Many years? Haha

Based on Charlton 2011, values:

$20 Natural Wonders 2004 Hopewell Rocks $85
$20 Natural Wonders 2005 Diamonds $70
$1 40th Anniversary Flag Proof $40
50 Cents 2006 Golden Daisy $45
$5 Alberta Centennial $45
Proof Set 2004 $110
Proof Set 2005 $125
1/20 Oz bullion - What date? Bullion+, or more $$
25 cents 1900 Saunders $16

Selling prices will be lower. For NCLT, ~50% lower on most items.

Canadian, the 1/20th is 2004.

Why is the 400th anniversary proof set worth less then the 2005 one?

Whats NCLT

The 1/20th 2004, only 9,880 were minted which is the second lowest mintage (lowest is 3,890 in 2003). Could fetch up to $100 on ebay.

Why is the 400th anniversary proof set worth less then the 2005 one? While there were fewer sets sold in 2004 than in 2005, I believe that the demand for the first selective gold plated silver dollar partly explains the price difference. The 2005 selective gold plated coin was only available in the Proof set, while the 2004 Proof silver dollar was also available individually. In 2004, die hard silver Dollar collectors did not have to purchase the entire set just to get the dollar. That changed in 2005 when the Mint decided to issue "unique" proof dollars to spur demand for the Proof set.

The other aspect, less obvious is that the Canadian flag may have more significance. But I don't know for sure.

In total, there were 106,974 2004 Silver dollars minted, Vs 63,562 for the 2005 selective gold plated.

Whats NCLT: Non Circulating Legal Tender. "By definition a Non-Circulating Legal Tender coin is a coin that has been issued by a recognized monetary issuing authority, but is not intended for circulation as a medium of exchange." -http://www.blackmountaincoins.com

Think I paid $70 for it at the mint haha. So basically, hold on to everything would be sound advice?

Thanks for the advice Canadian.

Maybe I should keep buying commemorative coins here and there.

I also have one of those silver $5 coins from 1994, any clue what that may be worth?

The silver maple leafs ($5) would be worth spot silver +$4-5, bit more on ebay.
