Welcome to Coin Community.

The Chapman Proof we were discussing in that thread was a very limited set of strikes from one specific pair of dies. The D1 Reverse (which your coin has) is one of two reverse designs used with 1921 Morgans, and accounts for roughly half of that year's Philadelphia production of almost 47 million coins. It also happens to be the reverse design used on the Chapman Proofs.

Your coin is not a Chapman, and of that I am certain.

Why, might you ask, am I so certain? Look on the reverse of your coin, at the denticles above the ST of STATES. See those little diagonal gouges pointing downward towards the letters?

Now, go here:

Look at things closely, and enjoy your Infrequently-Reeded, Top 100 VAM.

Wow that is an amazing eye SuperDave. Not that I ever plan on selling this coin what do you think the grading and the value of it would be. It my first coin. The one that got me started.

Strong EF/AU50. The variety carries additional value - not a lot as it's one of the more common Infrequent Reeding 1921's - but great popularity amongst Morgan Collectors. Along with the Pitted Reverse varieties, Infrequent Reeding 1921-P's are usually the first 1921 varieties people learn about.

Definite future upside potential. Probably not worth having slabbed, but not really necessary because it's not in the Condition Census, and the variety features are so obvious.
