I have a 50 cent piece with Obama's portrait on it. Does that count?

You could have had an Ecuatorial Guinea note with Mark Thatcher (Margret's son) and Jeffrey Archer (Tory and Author) on it had they managed to take over the oil rich country.

Welcome huckles to the forum. An interesting proposition but not quite as easy as one may think. It's hard to imagine all the 'great' 20th c dictators being so shy! No Hitler, no Stalin and no Mao Zedong (well not until after his death). Here's an obvious candidate but I'll give other people a chance to post their's before I post any more I might have.

I did not know that they had banknotes denominated in 'ukuleles'! Musical banknotes!

Francisco MacĂas Nguema of Equatorial Guinea was a bad guy, no question. But the nephew, Teodoro Obiang, who led the coup against him is quite arguably worse, and still in power.

I actually have Iraqi Dinar from when I was in Iraq in 2003...and I didn't even think of it.
Saddam wasn't 'good', per se, but he did have some redeeming qualities. For instance, he did help keep the Middle East in some semblance of stability for years and years.

The description 'good' was used sarcastically. How many benevolent dictators can you name (unless you're a fanatic)? So here's another one. Fidel Castro on the reverse of this 1989 10 pesos note.

Franco of Spain was all over the coins, I do not know about the banknotes, but I can't imagine he wasn't on them! But because of his stature, or lack of, only his head is probably visable!
