There isn't a "book value" for these coins yet, because they're not yet listed in Krause. The older smaller 10 franc ones are. It's spelled "acrylic", not "acrilyc"; getting the spelling right will probably help you search for similar items on ebay, which is probably your best bet at finding out what they're really worth. I just ran a search and didn't see one of these larger ones for sale; the smaller ones seem to be selling between $10 and $70.

Needless to say, a 1 kilogram slab of plastic has no intrinsic or bullion value; it's value is purely in novelty collector interest.

The Schön catalog lists the piece (#248) with a price of €250. That may be what a dealer would charge - "may" because, as Sap wrote, it is hard to tell how much demand there is for such novelty "coins". Mintage is 250 (numbered pieces).

Hello, Pav.

I don't know if you're still reading this topic, but I have been looking for one of these Tonga 25 francs Mozart"coins" for quite some time. I finally found one yesterday from an old E-Bay auction listed on Google. It is in Bulgaria. Wouldn't it be a coincidence if it was you. The last I saw there for sale...they were about $400 Australian but that was about 2 years ago. I paid a bit over 200 British pounds which I think is a good price for seller and buyer alike.
