Which Proof Set To Choose?

Hi All,

if you would have to choose between the following proof sets which one would you choose and please state why?


1968 US proof set
1979 US proof set
1985 US proof set

1968, because of the 40% silver half. The other sets contain no silver.

The 1969 and 1970 also have the 40% half too.

yep the 68 because of silver. Pretty much many modern proof sets are worthless save a few.

the 79 may have some type 2 mint mark then I would get that over the 68

I was thinking the 1968, but the 1979 has an SBA shimmed into an Eisenhower dollar hole. I do not know why this appeals to me, but it does.

I'd get the '68 set due to the silver. My second choice would be the '79 set. I have a '78 set, and the cameo on these coins is outstanding. '79 set ought to be as nice as the '78.

Thank you all for the advice but I love American coins and I couldn't resist I got the three proof sets and now I cant wait till they arrive to Egypt (safely I hope)
