I am seeking to buy or research the topic of currency, old and new and am asking for advice for which "the Pro's" or currency experts would suggest for this topic book wise or just a very good reference for research, I like pictures,LOL. Thanking you all in advance for your effort, Mike. PS, I am locating some old and newer notes and they have some stars also. Basically I really need a very good currency guide. National Notes, FRN'S, Gold/Silver certificates small/large bills all included. Thanks again.  Edited by Morgans Dad

It is called "The Comprehensive Catalog of U.S. Paper Money" by Gene Hessler...... It is along the same lines as Walter Breen's coin catalog, but the major difference being that Hessler didn't just 'make up' stuff to put into his book.

Thanks Mike, you are one of my favorite folks..... I owned this book (mine was the 1997 issue), unfortunately, I haven't seen it in over a year now, but I pretty much remember everything I read, so I am missing out on whatever information has been added in more recent issues of the book.
