1761 Spanish Coin, Identification? | 2 Reales, Seville Mint

It appears to be some type of spanish coin from 1761. The S and 6 also appear to have doubling. coinsnpaper Valued Member Canada 480 Posts	Posted 06/08/2011 04:40 am THis is a II over J V- 2 reales, and the date is 1761, as the coin is read from the middle. Mint mark Seville, so it is KM 388.2, and worth about $25 in VF. Note- the S of HISPANIARUM is re-engraved. Report this Post to the Staff

Sap Moderator Australia 16837 Posts	Posted 06/19/2011 09:15 am I would think that 1761 is old enough that mild "varieties" such as re-engravings either make no difference to value, or indeed subtract from it rather than add to it.
