Just got back from PCGS 1970 S proof Lincoln Cent
PR67 RD CAM
DDO FS-102 LD/SD
FS-030

I have checked the PCGS web site, and NGC, as well as the little Grading Services... and I think this is the Finest Known... Please help me, before I offer it up for sale at my website, and the PCGS chat room. I don't want to mis lead folks.
Thanks....

Very nice coin!
Interesting how I can see both 9s and 7s.

there is 1 Cameo (I am guessing yours) in 67 and one 65 Cameo and 1 Deep Cameo in 67. The strange thing is those are the only three ever been graded by PCGS so yes the 67's are the highest graded by PCGS but maybe only because there has only been 3 of this variety ever graded by PCGS. And as far as I can tell NGC doesn't recognize this variety at all. But if you want to get real technical about it, there is one (the Deep Cameo) graded higher than yours

There is another die variety: FS-030.6. I have never heard of a PR-68 of either die.

some of these double dies are getting ridiculous.......need a microscope to even see it and even then I can't see the double die. I like the 55 DDO as its very obvious to the naked eye!

Since there are about 5,333,789,345,002,101 coin varieties, I guess beauty and collectibility is in the eye of the beholder.

This is one of the more obvious LMC DDOs, it is a Large Date hubbed over a Small Date- Class III Design Hub Doubling. Other examples of Class III doubled dies would be the 1960-D Lincoln Small Date over Large Date, 1918/7-D Buffalo nickel, 1918/7-S Standing Liberty quarter, the 1942/1 Mercury dimes, and the 1943/2-P Jefferson nickel.
