nikola The coin in question is not a Trade dollar like the 1780 became so I am a bit uncertain of the weiight standards that were in place. I agree that 26.3 grams would not be possible for the Trade version of an MTT.
That said my big concern here - is the coin real?
So far I have not seen a forgery of this year but I expect that will change. There are some problems here.
1. The die standards used here seem crude by comparison with other coins I have seen from the same period.
2. The wear of the front and back do not seem to match. This could be as a result of using the coin in a mount so that only the Queen's portrait was exposed.
3.The coloration to me indicates the coin has been tampered with chemically.
The price is correct or LOW for an original. These were not made in large numbers and survival of high grade coins is rare.
When you get the coin - I woul be interested to know the actual weight and what the edge looks like.
