Yesterday, I underwent my first penny roll search. I picked up 6 rolls from the bank. I didn't find anything incredibly interesting I don't think. In fact, I didn't find anything but dirty modern cents until the last roll. Then, I found 5 that were out of the ordinary.

1. 1946 LWC
2. 1960 LMC (i think a semi-key date?)
3. 1982 LMC (that appears to have been struck slightly off center....not sure on the technical term there)
4. 1980 LMC (also appears to be slightly off center)
5. 1941-D LWC

On top of that...I paid $3.00 for the rolls...and came out with $3.04, so I only had to add $.01 back to the rolls :) It was fun...I went back today to pick up my next set of rolls (20 of them!). As far as my collecting (or accumulating) goes...I'm a newb and I decided to start with the little stuff. So, I'm beginning with pennies :)

Here are the two that are off center slightly. the 1982 is worse than the 1980...what do you guys think? Are my eyes messing with me? I know I didn't find anything spectacular and I know sometimes I'll be completely let down, but hey...that's where the fun's at!

Oh, I searched with a naked eye so who knows what I may have missed elsewhere. Do you guys use anything while roll searching to help see better? I mean, I'm 22 years old....but even I have to strain a little on them :) Although I am far-sided. haha

I love going through pocket change for nickels and pennies and just fill album after album with them. It's a good time and I know that I'll never lose any money doing it :)
