Sooo ... I have a few PCGS sample slabs ... and have seen some coins come back from PCGS with a "Genuine" attribution due to one problem or another .... but what is this slab?

Appears to be an older style PCGS holder ... but a mix between sample slab and problem coin ... in this case a VG+- 1920 LWC. Any ideas?

What-Is-This-Slab?

Appreciate any input regarding the provenance of this slab.

Thanks

David

Wow ... Many Thanks DVCollector.

I enjoyed the tour through the history of PCGS sample slabs ... will need to get my others out and see where they fall in the continuum.

Slab cost me $8 .... reading there were appx 50,000 to 100,000 made means I probably overpaid ... but enjoy it nonetheless.

Thanks again for the quick and expert reply.

David

Someone mentioned that site here--I never knew there were so many slab variations.
