Here's a question for you guys who have been collecting PMs for a while. Once I have as much silver as I want, what should I do after that? I'm thinking of either gold or palladium. I understand that gold is more recognizable and therefore might be more easily sold but the price of palladium seems attractive at about 1/2 that of gold per ounce. I could collect 1-oz. and 1/2 oz. bars or rounds of palladium or 1/2 and 1/4 oz. bars or rounds of gold. I also like the fact that palladium has substantial industrial application. What say the PM wizards hereabouts?

I guess I look at it this way, gold has always been money so if things go bad economically gold will have a worldwide demand. The industrial uses part of the equation only comes into play when there is industrial production,so if the entire economy tanks and there is no industrial demand what will happen to the value of palladium? I certainly don't claim to have an answer but those are my musings!

I say Palladium is not a monetary metal, similar to Platinum.

Therefore, I would stick to Silver and Gold, Ed.

If those two get boring, buy prettier silver and gold. ;)

OK, the general consensus says GOLD, so gold it is! Thanks for all the comments, guys. I appreciate them all... even the rhodium.
