I got a nice deal on this coin - it's got a couple of small rim dings but has nice details I think. The coloring on the reverse is closer to the true color on the coin - it is a darker brown overall.

Picture disclaimer: I cropped these from my pictures of my 7070 album - since I took pictures a half-page at a time, they are a compromise between lighting, focal point, etc. In other words, not always the best pictures of each individual coin. I would like to take individual pictures of each coin someday when I get time.

I think I will learn a lot by following this thread... I might have to start a 7070 myself.

I'm loving this thread already!

I don't have this one, but I have targeted the 1804 Spiked Chin coin for this slot.

If you guys and gals could, help me out with some variety options to pursue!

Questionable color on this one, but it's filling the spot for now. This is the crosslet with stems variety.

Asked on the Introductory thread:

Quote:
What, no Gold page? :)

I KNEW someone would ask about that!

I have no problem with a Gold Page.

For those who don't know, the Dansco Company offers an additional page to be added to their 7070 Album that includes many types of US minted Gold coinage:

Type I Liberty Head Dollar 1849-54
Indian Head Dollar Type III 1856-69
Liberty Head Quarter Eagle ($2.5)
Indian Head Quarter Eagle 1908-29
Liberty Head Half Eagle ($5) 1839-1908
Indian Head Half Eagle 1908-29
Liberty Head Eagle ($10) 1838-1907
Indian Head Eagle 1907-33
Liberty Head Double Eagle ($20) 1850-1907
and finally a Saint Gaudens Double Eagle 1907-32.

I figured 76 Days of original 7070 was already quite a bit. I thought we would take a vote nearing the end of the Original 7070 postings to see if we all wanted to add another 10 days to the "76 Days of US Type" for the Gold Page.

So, like Dad always used to say, "We'll see..."
