Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever found a franklin doing this?

I started a Kennedy half collection today. Yesterday alot you of suggested roll hunting and something about it is addicting. I got 4 rolls of half dollars, and got some nice coins for a good start. Then I went nuts bought the first volume of Cherry Pickers Guide and tommorow plan on finding a bank that will hopefully sell me a box of 50 rolls of pennies. God I feel like some kinda junkie. I love it.

People find Franklins all the time. Heck, I've walked into a bank and seen a Franklin sitting on the top of the tray, and bought it for $.50.

About half of my Franklin half dollar collection came from roll hunting in the 1990's. I do not think it would be as easy today, but I feel it is still possible.

I think what makes it fun and and exciting for me other then the obvious of finding cool stuff is, knowing your not getting cheated.

I can walk in a bank and pay face for as much or as little as I want. Worst thing that can happen is I find nothing and return the money back to circulation. This is the part of the hobby that really does it for me.

Knowing I pay zero dollars to have fun! Other then gas to get there.....
