for give my ignorance, but was this coin - a circulation issue; or NCLT; or were there some of each type ?
I was able to dig this up, with help from Google - Specifications: Face Value: $1 Mintage: 571,079 Composition: 50% Ag, 50% Cu Weight (g): 23.30 Diameter(mm): 36.07 Edge: Reeded Finish: Proof
I got it for $1, so I can't complain. It'll look nice next to my deux voyageurs and other Canadian commemoratives.
The circulation dollar coin was a nickel dollar dollar that year Peter. This is/was the silver dollar. The coin was available in Proof and BU finishes. It's NCLT and Commemorative.
