Could this be a doubled lobe or did the coin take a hit?

I'm thinking hit or Strike Doubling. That doesn't look at all like the 2006 doubled ear listed on coppercoins. How do the other devices look?

here is the real DDO doubled earlobe for this year:

The lobe is raised where the OP coin is dented in and on the lobe instead of SW of the lobe.

Yet another example of what an awesome group we have on this site! Ask a coin question, wait a few minutes and get a great education! What's not to love?

Good luck finding the real one numismo. I check all of the 2006-P's I find very carefully. There are a ton of doubled dies for that date.
Rest in Peace

I understand it's not the DO-018. Here's a pix of the one I found. I thought the coin in question might be another DDO.

The size of the earlobe should be wider/taller/separated. I see just a normal earlobe with damage on it. It happens a lot after the striking process. Plaching coins into bins/circulation damage are just a couple of means of damaging coins. I just remember a comparision of another earlobe from the same series. It is a side by side comparision. The one of the left is the normal one. The size of your coin's earlobe just the same size as the normal one.
