I received a bag of 35 Buffalo nickels but none of the dates are showing. Well what can I do with them?

Find five more and roll them up. I'd buy a roll of dateless buffaloes if I saw them on ebay for a good price. I have a real soft spot for the old buffaloes.

If they were mine, I'd spend them in my Grandpas old 1930's slot machine, which is low on buffalo's (must be the great-grandkids this time), jackpot is 20 nickels, or three bell fruit gum bars. The next payout is three liberty bells, 16 nickels.

Put them in vinegar for a few days and it should reveal the date. Some take a few weeks though. Make sure none of the coins are touching.

haha I actually saw another post of that and I put 5 (that is why I said 35) into vinegar. I was going to take pictures but my camara sucks and never can get good pics. I've had them in it for like 5 days and it is starting to show the dates a little bit.

Wow I never knew vinegar would do that, I usually don't care about grading my buffalos but the only requirement I do have is that the date be readable

Use some nic-a-date. Get it off ebay for like 6 bucks.

Nic a date for sure. You just put a drop over the area where the date is and wait about 20 or 30 seconds. That will bring the date up without dissolving the surface of the rest of the coin.

They make great birthday gifts.

Dealers sell them for 25 cents if the dates are unreadable. 50 cents if you can barely see the date. So they can't be sold for more than a few pennies. But no one has any of them so they are great for presents. One Buffalo nickel can get someone interested in collecting.
