I do enjoy a good find here and there... Thinking about starting a Canadian cent set from my US searching! I have a decent start on it already!

You should be able to get a lot of what you would need just from roll searching. I seem to find around 10 or so in every box I get. They are starting to become more common that wheat cents.

Yes, definitely go for it. Canadian coins are cool. You shouldn't have any problem at all putting together a small cent collection.

I don't think you've got enough posts to be trading, but I certainly would be interested. I'll be putting together a small cent collection and could trade you my extras?

I love the Canadian coins, especially the penny! I think it is somewhat funny how US businesses don't care to get Canadian coins when now a Canadian dollar is worth more than a US dollar?

In all my visits to Canada business usually seemed more than willing to take US money at face value. I guess Canadians are much nicer that way.

Did you know this is not by accident or shear luck that you are finding Canadian change in U.S. rolls/coinage. It's Canada'a way of slowly turning you guys into good Canucks. (retire the Bruins) Next we will turn your F.B.I. agents into Mounties, trade Harper for Obama, send over truck loads of moose (so you can enjoy the same speed bumps we do), and send you the recipe for Beaver Tails desert.
The infiltration all starts with a penny in your change!

Just wondering, what are those little green spots on the maple leaves?

Saturno, mostly verdigris from the copper composition. Not uncommon.

contrary to what most americans think, those aren't maple leaves, they are mint leaves, and those little green dots are mint berries. Thats how we make mint jelly. Now you know.

Alright ladies and gentlemen from the North Country!

I've caved in a got myself a couple of Whitman Coin Folders... I don't think that I'm going to be able to complete these sets FULLY from circulation, so I traded a few here and there. I need some more help!

Check out my progress! I'm going to list the holes that I still need to fill:

1920
1921
1922
1923
1924
1925
1926
1927
1931
1933
1934
1944
1945
1947 (Minted in 47 & Pointed 7 Variety)
1949
1953 (W and w/o shoulder folds)
1954
1956
1960
1965 (Large and Small Beads)
1985 (Pointed 5)
1990
1996
1997
and from 2002 to now

Not too shabby for just roll searching US cents and a couple of trades!

If anyone is feeling generous, or has some that they would like to send my way, I would welcome a PM!

I know this isn't the WTB or WTT section, so MODS, if inappropriate to be here, please let me know and I will edit the post. Thanks!

Quite a few of those are very common. I bet if you found a coin shop nearby, lots of those will be in the 'junk bin'.
