I'm not sure if that amount of wear on the cheek, hair and ear takes it out of AU but
with that amount of underlying red I'm going with AU53

Upstate--I know what you are saying about the wear on the cheek, it looks a lot better in person then in the photo as far as that wear goes anyway. thanks for the input!

When you blow them up like that every little thing shows. The shine on the high spots my just be that.
You can say a ton about what is right about this coin.
Nearly hit free reverse, clean bow tie, nice strike shown in the hair and lapel.
It wouldn't surprise me if Brad chimed in and deemed it a MS coin (and he would be right).
Sweet high grade early Denver Lincoln.

Nice reverse, obverse, too many light scratches too much wear over the ear and cheek.

Gorgeous coin. Reverse could go 62/63. Obverse, high AU with a shot at MS60/61.

those are definetly rubs on the ear, cheek, and hair. if it were just a weak strike, there would still be luster present, which there is not.

Yeah, I'm happy with it being AU50, I'm trying to complete the LWC series in VF20+ so this will fit in just fine! Its just hard to get over how much original color this coin has

Appears to have some slight rub, the pics are a bit out of focus.

I'd say AU55. It's got a great reverse. Obverse looks like it has a fair amount of chatter. Still a great coin!
