Here's another nice coin from my box. Krause (vintage 1979) indicates this is a fairly scarce coin worth a few bucks in higher circulated grade. Can anyone give me an opinion on its grade and current potential value?
Thanks (again)!

I'm looking at 1875 on this coin?

Oops, yes it is an 1875. Probably should have noted that in the topic line!

My old Krause shows a value of $13 in XF; I just wonder whether that valuation might still be in the ballpark.

Thanks!

I am not an expert in World Coins or their grading but, applying what I know from U.S. Coin grading, I would ballpark this at the mid VF level, 30-35.

Krause prices do tend to be a little higher than actual market value for Danish coins. You can check this listing that ended on ebay recently http://cgi.ebay.com/2-OLD-COINS-w-P...em35b2bf4b2f
it also had a 5 ore 1875 and sold both for $12.87. There are many listed right now on ebay that have not sold between $16.75 and $55.99. Hope this helps.

Perhaps I'm a harder grader of these...because I don't want to overvalue my Denmark overdates.
Because of the wear on the monogram, I suspect it's on the low end of a VF. Compare to "VF-" here.
Going by my Siegs catalog from Denmark, values given appear higher than Krause, everything else equal.
