My 1909 Lincoln Has Something Below The Date, What Is It?

Adam, I'm no expert but I think that is an "S" below the date, the 19th letter of the Anglo-Saxon alphabet. It's pronounced "ess" and in this case designates that the coin was produced in San Francisco, California. Hence "S" in "San Francisco". Hope this helps-by the way nice coin!
